Who we are

We believe “early prevention” is a very important part of solving the problem of mental health challenges, because the best way to deal with a crisis is to prevent it from manifesting in the first place.

We envision a world in which the most vulnerable child will have the power to overcome struggles such as poverty, mental health/behavioral issues and other life challenges and create a purposeful life for themselves and others around them.

Our mission is to help children and families change their frustration into fruition by teaching them to maintain, protect and sustain their mental wellness.

Our team

Kimone James, Founder/Executive Director

Founded in 2018, The Amazing Help has been managed by Kimone James, the company’s executive director and founder with over ten years of management, healthcare registration, childcare, peer recovery, and small business startup experience. Based on her personal experience as a mother of two children and stepmother of three boys, one of whom has been diagnosed with autism and learning disability, Mrs. James has developed skills and a passion for assisting families facing similar mental and behavioral challenges with their children. As a Mental Health First Aider and Nurtured Heart Certified Trainer, Mrs. James uses relationship-based approaches to help adults and children transform their anxiety into inner wealth. Aside from providing educational resources, assessments, and support to children and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders, she is also pursuing her CADC/LCSW credential in order to provide therapy and mentoring to children and families facing mental and emotional difficulties.
